Biosun PDO (Polydioxanone)
ALL ABOUT PDO MONO THREADS
-
PDO mono threads are made up of a fine synthetic material known as Polydioxanone (PDO) with a long history of safe and reliable use in medicine. They have been used in surgery for closing wounds (sutures). The threads are are injected under the skin in the "hypodermis" with either a needle or use of a blunt cannula. The presence of the threads in the hypodermis causes the body to activate it's own natural healing to promote tissue regeneration with collagen type I. The threads dissolve over time and are absorbed into the tissues.
Threads are used for tissue regeneration in areas of volume loss using various techniques.
Although there are Health Canada approved products on the market, the type that I use are not certified by Health Canada. They are however FDA approved and have been proven safe when used correctly.

There may be mild swelling and/or bruising at the injection site.
It is common to feel a firmness at the treatment site for the first few days-weeks. Over time the area will settle and soften leaving a hydrated youthful look.
