Hyaluronic Acid: Vivacy Stylage
ALL ABOUT DERMAL FILLERS
-
Dermal fillers are gel-like substances (ie. hyaluronic acid) that are injected beneath the skin to restore lost volume, soften creases, smooth lines, or enhance facial contours.
Fillers can also be used to reduce the appearance of deep scars caused from acne and chicken pox, re-shape the nose (non-surgical nose job) and define the chin. You can think of fillers as substances that “fill up” any lines, wrinkles and hollowed areas of the face.
-
Every appointment includes a consultation as part of the service. Before each treatment can we discuss your areas of concern and address any questions you may have.
-
There is slight discomfort involved in filler injections, primarily because the substance is slightly more dense than other fluids in the body (ie. water).
Before each session, a topical anaesthetic is applied to the injection site which will make pain more manageable. Any pain or discomfort can be treated with Tylenol and an ice pack placed on and off the injection site periodically. Please avoid taking Ibuprofen and other blood thinners as they can make bruising more apparent. -
Teoxane Products: Teosyal Dermal Fillers (RHA1-4), KISS and Ultra Deep.
Teoxane products are a modified version of hyaluronic acid; a naturally occurring substance in the body. Since the body recognizes this familiar substance, side effects are less likely to occur, making hyaluronic acid fillers the best and safest choice for the widest range of patients!
Teosyal RHA 1 treats surface lines.Teosyal RHA 2 treats lines and wrinkles that are of average/medium depth.
Teosyal RHA 3 treats deeper lines and wrinkles.Teosyal RHA 4 is a filler treatment targeted to give volume.
KISS adds volume to the lips, can improve their contour and can also fill facial wrinkles, such as perioral wrinkles.
Ultra Deep is used to redefine facial contours and correct deep wrinkles, especially on thick skin.

4-12 months, depending on the area and how fast your body personally metabolizes the hyaluronic acid.
Fillers offer temporary results and require future treatments to maintain those results. This makes it a great treatment option for special events (ie. weddings) where you want to look your best, without the life-time commitment. -
The amount of filler required is based many variables including…
❧ size of treatment area(s)
❧ depth of wrinkles/scars etc. to be filled
❧ personal aesthetic/desired result
❧ personal investment
Most treatments start at $300. -
Unfortunately no. Dermal fillers come in pre-filled syringes that can only be used on one person at a single appointment. So while your treatment may not require an entire syringe, the remaining product must be disposed of immediately.
-
Not at all. How unnatural fillers make you look depends on who your injector is, how much filler they use, and what you personally want to look like.
I specialize in subtle beauty, so I will help you look and feel your most beautiful with the least amount possible. For example, if you have very fine lips, you will not leave your appointment with unrecognizably large lips. -
You may experience minor, temporary side effects at the injection site. The most common side effects include redness, swelling, tenderness, and occasional bruising. These side effects usually clear up within 7 to 14 days — if not earlier.
Serious side effects may occur if the person injecting the filler does not have adequate medical training and experience, so never get filler injections in a non-medical setting by untrained medical professionals.

Fillers last 4-12 months, so if you notice the treated areas are lacking in volume, it’s probably time to book another appointment. It’s common for first-time patients to opt for super subtle enhancements at first and if this is you you came to the right place!

Yes, as long as the fillers used are made from hyaluronic acids, then they can be dissolved. Your doctor can inject Hyaluronidase into the fillers which will cause them to dissolve and be absorbed back into the body.

❧ Avoid significant movement, pressure or massaging of the treated area, unless otherwise instructed. This includes facials/facial massages, extreme facial expressions and the use of tight fitting head wear like goggles and helmets.
❧ Avoid strenuous exercise for at least 24 hours. Heavy lifting, pulling/pushing and all contact sports are off limits.
❧ Avoid applying makeup to the treated area for at least 4-6 hours as open injection sites are more susceptible to infection.
❧ Avoid extensive sun exposure or heat for 72 hours. This includes hot/steam showers, tubs, saunas, and tanning beds.
❧ Avoid consuming excess amounts of alcohol and salty food to avoid swelling.
❧ Avoid air travel for at least 2-3 weeks especially if flying internationally. The cabins air pressure can cause your filler to shift resulting in asymmetry.
❧ If you experience swelling apply a cool compress for 15 minutes every hour. Tylenol can also be taken for pain management if upon my approval.
❧ You may take Arnica to help prevent bruising/swelling, or start taking it 2 days before your appointment as a preventative measure.Click the DERMAL FILLER POST-CARE CARD button to save for later!
